isGreen started as an idea, but they needed a name and a brand that reflected their mission. They wanted us to design a website to host their content. They needed the website to be easy for users to navigate and to look appealing. Since contributors create much of the material, it was necessary for the website to have an easy to use back end. They wanted to make connections with new companies. We knew the easiest way to do so was by highlighting the benefits they offer to their clients. They needed marketing material that would work for both B2B and B2C. This meant versatile branding.
We started with the basics, giving them a name that was easy to remember and fit their company message. They wanted a website with new and interesting contributed content, backed up by professionally-managed social media. The site integrated many features that made browsing easy, from the waterfall of articles to making posts searchable by category or location. Contributors could also upload photos, videos, and text with ease. Because most of the material is created by volunteers, we created guidelines to ensure quality content. The site also needed to be visually appealing and feel green, with plenty of white space and large, engaging graphics. We created a logo and brand that embodied their values using these guidelines. We ensured the marketing material we designed was versatile enough to meet all their needs. We then used an innovative interactive marketing campaign to promote the site to individuals and businesses.
